Job Description
Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission in Honduras and the direct supervision of the National Program Officer, and in coordination with the relevant units at the Regional Office and Headquarters, the National Labour Mobility and Inclusion Officer will support the effective implementation of the Labour Mobility and Inclusion (LMI) project portfolio of IOM Honduras
Responsibilities
Assist in the coordination and monitoring of the operational, administrative and financial aspects of the LMI interventions and projects in accordance with IOM policies and practices as well as donor’s requirements, including Labour Mobility, Inclusion, Socioeconomic reintegration, private sector partnership.
Keep the supervisor informed on the status of LMI activities; identify gaps and suggest actions to improve implementation and strengthen labor mobility interventions and inclusion.
Participate in the development and adjustment of work plans, project budgets, Monitoring & Evaluation tools and standard operations procedures.
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of implementing partner agreements that include LMI related activities and coordinate with different Units to facilitate timely follow-up.
Coordinate the collection, verification and analysis of data and background information; update information management systems and social media platforms on LMI projects related activities including awareness and visibility, summaries, press releases and other relevant materials.
Support the collection and organization of information for stakeholder mapping to contribute to engagement efforts that facilitate pathway for regular migration. Assist in monitoring policy developments and drafting inputs or summaries for review by senior staff.
Coordinate timely preparation and dissemination of project reports in accordance with IOM procedures and donor requirements.
Liaise and coordinate with donors, partners, United Nations agencies, local authorities and stakeholders and government counterparts.
Contribute to the planning, development, organization and delivery of capacity building activities related to LMI targeting IOM staff, government and civil society partners, implementing partners and communities.
Attend relevant conferences, workshops, working groups, interagency coordination meetings, and other forums in the field of LMI.
Participate in the preparation of project proposals, concept notes and assist in drafting planning documents in line with the IOM LMI strategy.
Supervise and provide training and technical guidance to LMI staff.
Undertake duty travel relating to project implementation, monitoring visits, project assessments, liaison with counterparts, etc.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications and Experience
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or,
Master’s degree in the above-mentioned fields.
EXPERIENCE
Experience supporting projects related to labour mobility, migration, socioeconomic inclusion, or development.
Experience in governmental liaison and coordination.
Works effectively with authorities, stakeholders, humanitarian and development partners.
Experience in project implementation and budget management.
Experience contributing to drafting reports or project documents.
SKILLS
Knowledge of LMI programming.
Knowledge of project development and reporting.
Ability to manage a varied workload and prioritize tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Good analytical, writing, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with colleagues, partners, and counterparts.
